Hey, my name is Nicolas Kiss.
I am currently training as a Full Stack Web Developer at Developer Akademie. My focus is on developing modern, high-performance, and user-centered web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Through several years of professional experience as a Train Manager at the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), I have developed strong skills in responsibility, problem-solving, communication, and customer service.
I am committed to writing clean, maintainable code and continuously expanding my technical expertise.

About the project
Task manager inspired by the Kanban System. Create and organize tasks using drag and drop functions, assign users and categories.

What I have learned
This project was built in a team of four, where I focused heavily on the front-end architecture. In addition to deepening my skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I integrated Firebase for the first time to handle real-time data and learned how crucial clean code organization is when collaborating with others.

About the project
Jump, run and throw game based on object-oriented approach. Help Pepe to find coins and tabasco salsa to fight against the crazy hen.

My group-projects experience
I developed this project entirely on my own. The main technical focus was on software architecture: I learned how to effectively apply object-oriented programming (OOP) in JavaScript to cleanly structure game logic, animations, and collision handling into reusable classes.

About the project
This App uses the well known PokeAPI to show pokemon details and attributes.

What I have learned
I built this project independently to master integration with third-party services. I learned how to fetch asynchronous data from REST APIs, handle JSON payloads efficiently, implement search and filter features, and dynamically update the UI based on API responses.
Ongoing project
I am currently developing an interactive memory game, using this project to deeply integrate TypeScript and SCSS into my workflow. This project reinforces a core belief of mine: great results don’t happen by accident. Thorough planning of the application logic and clean, precise execution of the code are absolutely essential to the success and scalability of the work.
